 V. Registration Method:

(a) Registration Method: Registration is conducted online. Please select the Summer College online system to register and select courses. Please fill in your registration information according to your department/school. After registration, please upload proof of enrollment within the specified period. Course selection can only begin after your identity verification is approved.

(II) Course Selection Mechanism :

  • Phase 1 "Registration and Allocation System": After completing course registration, all applicants, regardless of school or department, will be assigned courses by the system according to their preference order through random selection. The allocation priority is as follows:
    • 1. Current undergraduate students at partner schools (including admitted first-year students)
    • 2. Master's and doctoral students at partner schools
    • 3. Students currently enrolled at schools that have not signed an agreement.
  • The second phase is a "first-come, first-served" system:
    • For any remaining spots after the first phase of course selection, please continue to select courses in this phase through the Summer College's online system .
    • Courses can be selected as long as there are available spots. The deadline for course selection and payment, as well as the deadline for online withdrawal, is two weeks before the start of each course.
    • If you register an account during this period and have not yet completed identity verification, your spot will be reserved until 23:59 on the third day after you submit your course selection (the day of course selection is considered the first day) . Please be sure to upload the aforementioned documents proving your student status within the deadline. Failure to upload the documents by the deadline will be considered as a waiver of your course selection, and your spot will be released.
    • If the course is full, please add it to your watchlist/notify me when there are available spots. When spots become available, the system will send an email to all students who have been watching the course. Please log in to the official website as soon as possible to select the course.

(iii) Course limit: You can select multiple courses when registering online, but the total number of courses, including those already paid for and those distributed in the current phase, is no more than 3 .

(iv) Inter-school course selection: Please follow the regulations of each school. If the original school requires additional inter-school (cross-school) course selection, after completing the review process of the original school, please send the paper or electronic version of the inter-school course selection form to our unit, or make an appointment to come to the office on the 4th floor of the Boya Teaching Building. The "Approval by Other Schools" and other fields will be approved by our unit and do not need to be approved by the course teacher or the school offering the course .

 VI. Identity Verification:

Regardless of whether you have registered an account before, all students enrolling in courses must complete the identity verification process . This involves uploading a photo of both sides of your student ID card with the registration stamp, a certificate of enrollment issued by your school, and your course selection record for the semester, etc. , to facilitate our verification. Please check the system and confirm the verification results. Those who fail the identity verification will not be assigned courses, meaning that no payment slip will be generated for unsuccessful course selection.

VII. Credit/Field of Study:

(a) Undergraduate students of universities and colleges who have signed agreements :

Whether the credits earned count towards general education credits, and the general education field to which the course belongs, varies among partner schools. Please read the " Credit Information Inquiry " carefully before selecting a course.

(ii) University students who have not signed the agreement:

Whether the credits earned will count towards general education credits, elective credits, or graduation credits should be inquired with your original school before proceeding with the summer college application process. After completing the courses, please contact your original school's registration office to inquire about how to log your grades.

 8.  Fee Information: The administrative management fee will be collected by National Taiwan University.

  • For students at universities and colleges that have signed agreements, the course fee is NT$700 per credit . ( Partner school inquiry )
  • The course fee for students of universities and colleges that have not signed the agreement is NT$1,750 per credit .

(a) Students from low-income households or those in need who have passed the course should log in to the " Summer College Online System - Payment and Refund " within one month after the course ends to apply for a refund. Please refer to the Student User Manual 05 Payment and Refund Procedures for application steps .

(ii) If a course cannot be held after registration and payment, the fees will be refunded. After the online withdrawal deadline (see important schedule for details ), no refund will be given if the course is cancelled due to personal reasons . According to the school's regulations, refunds require the student's own financial institution account for remittance; other methods of refund cannot be accepted.

 IX. Payment Process:

(a) Payment slip download method (adjusted in 2025) :

  • First phase of payment : After the system completes the distribution, please go to the Summer College online system, select "Print Payment Slip" to download, and complete the payment within the specified period.
  • Second stage of payment : Please go to the Summer College online system , add the courses you wish to select to your list. After your identity is verified and there are still available places in the courses, a payment slip will be generated. Click "Print Payment Slip" to download it. After successfully selecting courses, please complete the payment within three days (including the day of course selection) . Late payments or insufficient payments will not be accepted and your admission will not be reserved. Places will be released directly.

(II) Please refer to the payment instructions for payment methods . Those who fail to pay within the deadline or whose payment is insufficient will not be eligible for admission.

 10. Grade Login:

(a) After the teachers complete the grading and sign to confirm the grade book, the partner schools can log in to the Summer College online system to download the grades and proceed with the internal grade entry process. Regardless of whether the grades are passing or failing, they will be logged into the internal grade system.

(II) As mentioned above, since the grades have been entered into the school's internal system and will be presented on the transcript, this unit does not allow students from partner schools to apply for course completion certificates . Only students from non-partner schools, students from partner schools taking courses not recognized by their current school, high school students, and prospective first-year university students are allowed to fill out the course completion certificate (grade certificate) application form . (III) Because the grade distribution process involves administrative coordination among multiple schools and departments, the grade entry process is expected to be completed in mid-September, approximately one month after all courses have ended. If students urgently need these credits to apply to overseas schools, take national examinations, or graduate, please be sure to assess and plan your timeline before registering for courses .

XI. Awards:

A national Summer College essay competition on the "Thinking with Your Hands" course will be held , and winners will be awarded certificates and cash prizes (or gifts) as encouragement.
