The National Summer College, originally a project related to the Teaching Excellence Program, began in 2010 and expanded to a nationwide program in 2014. In 2019, it was independently managed by the National Taiwan University's Deep Cultivation Project, deepening its content and expanding its scope of cooperation. It strengthens collaborations with universities and extends connections down to high schools.
The program primarily offers "Nationwide Summer General Education Courses" for university students across the country. Besides mutual credit transfer, the program promotes cross-institutional and cross-disciplinary exchange among university faculty and students by carefully selecting, integrating, and sharing distinctive courses, thus embodying the spirit of general education and achieving the goal of resource sharing.
Furthermore, the team is committed to educational equity and fulfilling its social responsibility. In addition to the summer general education courses, to enhance course quality and extend classroom knowledge, the team first experimented with extracurricular activities in 2019, such as a basic photography workshop and a Chiayi Xikou workshop. Related activities will continue to be planned in the future.
